The peak of the deterioration of this building occurred on January 21, 2009, when the dilapidated bell tower suddenly collapsed.<\/p><p><strong>Years of restoration<\/strong>: the partial restoration of its exterior was carried out in 1971, the badly damaged roof was repaired in 2001, and its biggest restoration was initiated in 2009, and especially after 2016, when His Grace the Bishop of Srem, Mr. Vasilije, declared the parish church in Grabovac a monastery of the monastic family in Kru\u0161edol.<\/p><p><strong>Iconostasis<\/strong>: the carving of the iconostasis partition was carved by Sava Ljubinkovi\u0107 and painted by Pavle \u010cortanovi\u0107 in 1875.<\/p><p><strong>Today<\/strong>: due to the desire for the inhabitants of this modest and isolated village to have a worthy place of worship, His Grace the Bishop of Srem Mr. Vasilije declared the Grabovac parish church a monastery on June 14, 2016 and then entrusted it to the care of Kru\u0161edol Archimandrite Sava Jovan\u010devi\u0107, thereby initiating an impressive renovation and the construction of a sanctuary with a gathered monastic family.
