The renovation of the church, which lasted until the Second World War, began in 1927. The limestone coating was removed from the walls of the altar apse in 1950, and in 1952, the lime was removed from the friezes in the nave. Since 1981, continuous renovation has been going on.<\/p><p><strong>Architecture<\/strong>: Petkovica church is an interesting example of a variant of Moravian architecture. A possible model is the Lazarica church.<\/p><p><strong>Iconostasis<\/strong>: it was cut in 1735. Died in the Second World War, only the carved cross was preserved.<\/p><p><strong>Painting\/frescoes<\/strong>: the painting of the church was completed in 1588. The narthex is not colorful.<\/p><p><strong>Today<\/strong>: the monastery complex consists of a church and a new inn, recently built on the site of the old southern inn.
